Excellent Jobs for Retired Couples – Plus My Personal Recommendation

Hello friends, this is Clark. If you and your partner are retired, and looking for something that both of you can enjoy doing together, below I will share some excellent “jobs” for retired couples, plus my personal recommendation for the two of you.

First, you might want to take a well-deserved vacation. After all, retirement is the time for some relaxation and enjoying your life. Then you can get started with one of the suggestions below, whether it’s for extra money, to stay active or for personal fulfillment. Working together is also a great way for couples to be closer (or strain your relationship if you’re not careful!).

Market trading seems to be a popular choice, but if you’re not skilled in this, I certainly do not recommend it due to the risk involved. You could certainly throw your hard-earned retirement nest egg away if you’re not careful.

Some Ideas That You Can Try

If you’re a great cook and your companion is a wonderful people person, you may consider a catering business. You can plan and prepare the meals, while your partner delivers them to customers’ homes and gets new customers. Ask around your neighborhood, and they can spread the word once they’ve had a chance to taste your wonderful meals. Catering is popular with families where both its parents are working – they want their children to have home-cooked food, but do not have time to do the cooking.

Check the laws of your place though, because I’m not sure if you have to apply for a license to operate a catering business, even if it’s from home.

If you are good at a particular school subject, such as mathematics or science, you can provide one-to-one tutoring to help kids or teenagers do better in school. You and your companion can prepare the lessons together.

If both of you like children, ask around the neighborhood to see if anyone needs help babysitting.

Internet Marketing (as a TEAM)

This is my personal recommendation, because you can earn passive income with this. Internet marketing is the act of promoting a brand, product or service (not necessarily your own) on the Internet. Contrary to popular belief, you do not need previous experience in selling, and you do not need capital to get started (more on this below). You may very well decide to invest a little into your business later on – but anyhow we’re talking less than $400/year here.

There are 4 steps to Internet marketing and they are:

1) Choose a niche, which is a group of people looking for the same stuff, or in other words an audience that you want to market to.

2) Build a website, which is your “shop”. This is where you explain to your visitors and potential buyers how you can help them with their problems. With the advancement of technology, it is possible to have this step mostly taken care of for you.

3) Get traffic. Traffic means your website visitors. On your side, this is the most important step to becoming successful with Internet marketing. No traffic = No money. Publishing high-quality content and frequently, at least at the initial stage, is the key to getting lots of free traffic. Publishing one post (content) a day is ideal, and you and your partner can take turns doing this, but if that’s not possible 2-3 posts per week is the minimum.

4) Make money. One of the most popular ways to make money online is through affiliate marketing, where you sign up (free) for the affiliate programs whose products you wish to promote, and send people to the product websites by having them click on your “affiliate link”. An affiliate link is a URL, such as http://merchant.com/yourid, that contains your ID for a particular product. Another very popular way is placing advertisements on your website.

You can learn more about the 4 steps here.

It is my belief that the Internet marketing industry is still largely untapped. People are spending billions of dollars on products and services online daily, yet the affiliate marketing industry only generated $3.4 billion sales in 2016.
