The Easy Ways College Students Make Money

Hello friends, I’m Clark and welcome to Today let me share some easy ways college students make money, through online and non-online avenues.

If you’re on this page, chances are you’re a college student who is looking for some extra cash, or a lot. College is not cheap, and even if your college tuition fees are waived, you still have to pay for accommodation and books, not to mention FUN. Fortunately there are “jobs” that you can do as a college student without taking too much time away from your studies.

My no. 1 suggestion is online related as the Internet has opened up huge opportunities for us, especially in making money. However, you should end up doing the thing you like best.

If you have any questions while reading, do let me know below and I’ll gladly answer them to the best of my ability.

Drive for Uber

If you have a car and a driver’s license, and you enjoy driving around town, you might want to sign up with Uber to make some money. With each trip, you earn a percentage of the fare.

As an Uber driver, you have the flexibility to work only when you’re free.

Become a Tutor

If you excel at a particular subject, consider tutoring your juniors in college or even your peers. You can also tutor high-school students. Once you’ve lined up a few happy clients, ask them to refer you to their friends in order to get new business.

Online Data Entry

Data entry involves entering/transforming information into electronic format (by using a keyboard, etc.), and sometimes verifying and editing the data as you enter them.

A lot of data entry jobs do not require previous experience. Online data entry jobs usually pay per-word, per-project, per-audio minute, etc., but in general you can expect to earn $10-$15 an hour for entry or beginner level projects.

To get started, set up a free account at the freelancing websites below, then look for job postings of clients who are looking for data entry workers. These websites post other online jobs as well.

The job postings on the above websites are usually legitimate, but just remember that you should not be asked to make any kind of payment for a job that you’re applying for.

Online Surveys

Another way to make money online is by filling in surveys. There are lots of research companies and they are always looking for people to answer surveys and test products.

I’m definitely not an expert in online surveys, but Swagbucks, Toluna, Valued Opinions, YouGov and Vivatic are apparently some of the best-paying survey websites. Swagbucks in particular seems to be highly recommended.

Online Marketing

My no. 1 recommendation, and I’m doing it myself, is online marketing, simply because you’ll be building a business which will earn you passive income. Contrary to popular belief, online marketing is not a get-rich-quick scheme, though you have to beware of the many scams that are out there.

To get started, you don’t need any capital apart from a laptop and an Internet connection, and you don’t need any experience in selling. You just need to communicate as you do when speaking to a friend.

Many online marketers wished they had started when they were in college. Online marketing is the activity of promoting a brand, product or service (not necessarily your own) on the Internet. With billions of dollars being spent on products and services online EVERY day, it is certainly possible to earn multiple streams of income with online marketing.

The steps in online marketing are:

1) Choose a niche, which is the group of people that you would like to market to.

2) Build a website, where you welcome visitors and promote helpful products to them. Nowadays, it is possible to build a website in less than a minute.

3) Attract lots of people (traffic) to your site, by publishing relevant, engaging and helpful content that gets your website visitors what they want, and by publishing content frequently, at least during the initial stage of your business.

4) Earn money.

The results vary from one person to another, but by spending 4-6 hours on your website every day, it is certainly possible to have a full-time income business within 6 months of building a new website online. Below is how much you can realistically earn and when:

Month 1: $0

Month 3: $0-$500 per month

Month 6: $500-$3,000 per month

Year 1: $3,000-$10,000 per month

Year 2: $10,000-$20,000 per month

Year 5: $20,000-$50,000 per month

And that’s all from me today. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to leave them below and I’ll be more than happy to help you out. Thanks!
