Work from Home Business Ideas

Hey everyone, this is Clark, and welcome to Today I want to talk about work from home business ideas.

How would you like to sleep in every day, work your own hours, never have to worry about job security, and basically live life on your own terms? With Internet marketing you can have all that.

Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Well, those are all the good parts. You will need to work hard, at least in the beginning. It is often said that success is the tip of the iceberg whereas the rest of the structure is hard work and dedication.

Though I’m “only” recommending Internet marketing, there are many ideas that you can pursue based on this. You’re going to be writing and publishing content on your website for your visitors, to help them solve a problem or improve their lives in some way. Your niche or website “topic” can be anything you enjoy or LOVE – for instance cooking, health food, fitness, men’s fashion, women’s fashion, musical instruments, travel, personal development, etc. Over time you can build multiple websites catering to many niches, but you start with one.

Build Your Own Space or Online “Store” on the Internet

First, you’ve got to create a website, and nowadays all the technical aspects of website building (and hosting) can be taken care of for you. If you use the SiteRubix platform at Wealthy Affiliate, you can have your own website in less than a minute, by selecting a name and design for it, and clicking a couple of buttons.

Just in case you’re wondering, having a website is absolutely necessary for doing Internet marketing. Your website is your own space or “department store” online, and by publishing lots of quality (relevant, engaging, helpful) content on it you can easily and quickly build trust and authority with Google and the other search engines. With a website, you can also build trust with your visitors more quickly than, say, promoting your brand through forums or social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

With trust and authority from the search engines your relevant post (content) will show up on page 1 of the search results when somebody does a search in Google or another search engine. Only if your post shows up on the first page is it likely to be read. More people reading your content means more opportunities for you to earn money with your website.

With Internet marketing, you have control over how much money you make. The more you work on creating new and unique content for your website visitors, the more money you can earn.

Affiliate Marketing and Placing “Ads”

Let’s go over some of the ways that you can make money with a website. You may have heard of affiliate marketing, in which you (the affiliate) help other people (merchants) to promote their products on your website.

In affiliate marketing, you sign up free for the affiliate programs whose products you would like to promote. Then, you get your affiliate link for each product. An affiliate link is a URL, for example, that contains your affiliate ID under that affiliate program product.

Use your affiliate links within the content on your website. If a visitor clicks on your link and ends up buying the product from the merchant you earn a commission.

The most popular way to make money with a website without selling anything (except maybe yourself and your brand/content) is placing ads/advertisements on your website. You earn a bit of money each time someone clicks on one of your ads. The most popular ad network is Google Adsense.
